Hi, I’m Kait —

a trauma-certified Registered Therapeutic Counsellor and, fellow human.

With intentional listening, compassionate curiosity, and radical acceptance, I’m here to offer a safe space for you to bring your whole self to our sessions …the good, the bad, and the “ugly”.

Together we’ll consider both your past and present experiences, as well as what you hope for the in the future; all the while building helpful skills and resources that will help you move towards a renewed sense of possibility & fulfillment.

Positionality

While my positionalities offer a limited understanding of my lived experiences and beliefs, I share them in hopes to aid your therapist-finding process.

I am approaching my mid-thirties as, middle-class, heterosexual, cis, woman and settler of Northern European ancestry. I acknowledge with deep gratitude the Treaty 4 territory (Assiniboine, Blackfoot / Niitsítapi, Michif Piyii (Métis), and Očhéthi Šakówiŋ land colonially known as Southern Saskatchewan) on which I’ve spent the majority of my life. I do not currently live with any disabilities.

Given my privileges and complicities, I am committed to the process of unpacking my own anti-Blackness, anti-Indigenous settler complicity, ableism, classism, cisheteronormativity, and I welcome feedback and critique from my clients.

Approach

I draw from a variety of practices and modalities to offer holistic trauma-informed counselling and/or coaching. I consider your unique hopes and challenges, and tailor my approach to suit your needs. More info on my approach coming soon.
